Video not full size
« on: April 21, 2008, 08:23:57 PM »
I am having a problem with the videos on my website not showing up with full size of the video it feels as if it is zooming in to the center of the video. Is there any quick fix for this?

Yes- open templates/inner_play.htm and change overstretch to suit your needs:

overstretch (false): Sets how to stretch images/movies to make them fit the display. The default stretches to fit the display. Set this to true to stretch them proportionally to fill the display, fit to stretch them disproportionally and none to keep original dimensions.

What should I do if I want the videos to just fit the full screen instead of it zooming into the center of the video some. Should I put it to false?

If you set it to "false", it will shrink the video (maintaining proportions) until it fits in your player.  If you set it to "fit", it will stretch and shrink the video to fit your player exactly, so there is no black background showing.  It looks a little distorted that way, though.  You can play with it and figure it out.  :)

You can also change the size of your player if you'd like!

Hi,
thanks for the instructions. That really worked for me too. I now use the option "none", so the video size doesn't change, but the problem is that even if I go full screen the video stays small with a huge black frame around it. Is it possible to leave the video in its original format within the player, but stretch it in fullscreen mode?

I justed used "fit" and it seems to work the best for me. Some videos may be slightly distorted by around 90 percents show up fine.

I can change the size of the video, but when I change the size of the player, in the inner play file it doesnt change the size of the player. just the video.

There are three sets of dimensions in there.  You have to change all of them.
