Adult Section

It would be a cool feature for when you upload pictures or videos there to be a checkbox for adult content so to view the video or picture the person must log in and there age must be over 18, or have a you agree to the terms before the media will be displayed.

Probably not going to happen. From the FAQ:

Quote
Do you support adult sites?
* We don't want people using this software for adult sites or adult related site.

I agree with you, Icecandy, on the adult option.

Remember that all Adult content is not considered porno.

Lets say we're talking of an accidents site where there's a broken leg or arm or a slightly excessive amount of blood.   I wouldn't want minors to view it.  Or is this too in violation of the Phpmotion TOS?

Maybe a "not  suitable for work" link.
Dumpert.nl has such a feature that visitors can toggle on and off.
This site does not display full nude (maybe only beach topless) or other pornographic material,
but this switch disables stuff like nice ladies in bikini and other stuff that is NSFW :)

Cheers !!

I have an idea that might be good that would be less likely to be misunderstood.

When you upload a video have a toggle bar to give it a rating like in the movies G, PG, PG-13, R
admin could also change and fix the rating for the video in siteadmin
with a statement that porn is not allowed.
Then on member preferences have a selection for safe viewing asking:
Block all videos with a rating higher than ( select rating.)
That way the member could self filter out media they find objectionable.

Just thinking out loud may be a dumb idea but just throwing it out there

One NON pornographic use for separating the site into adult and and non adult sections is to control the advertising that users are exposed to... For example: alcohol adverts not displayed to members under 21/18...

and I think the rating idea mentioned above is a really good idea too, especially if it was intergrated with a child protection software like http://www.netnanny.com that allowed parents to pick what level of content was accessible accross ALL phpmotion sites.... improving trust and acceptance in them being COMPLETELY AGAINST pornographic content.... one of the best features of PHPmotion in todays internet video market.
