The main driving force behind V3.5 was the need to have our own in-house built video player which we could more easily and readily update to meet the needs of PHPmotion.

In essence V3.5 introduces the PHPmotion Video Player. Up until now PHPmotion had been using a third party player (JW Player) under license.

Do I need to upgrade

The initial release of V3.5 is not a security update. Having said that, we will no longer be updating V3.0, meaning that should its a good and worthwhile idea to upgrade to a version of PHPmotion that is being actively maintained.
