www.ustomp.co.uk - New website
« on: March 31, 2010, 08:47:53 AM »
Hi all,

We would like to showcase our new snowboarding website - www.ustomp.co.uk - as we feel it is finally ready

Spot any errors, or feel you have any ideas on how it could be better - please let me know. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

We are thinking of getting the chat feature installed too soon - is this a simple job to do?

Thanks in advance all!

Sam  ;D

Hi guys/girls

Ah yeah I see what you mean about the alignment issue. And yes - very PINK :)

Actually bad timing on my post earlier - our host (HostUpon) have been terrible all day and our site has been down loads :(

Seems to be better now. Will call them if it gets any worse tomorrow.

Any other comments/suggestions? - Much appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Thanks very much for your positive feedback :)

Anyone else have any ideas/suggestions?

Yes our loading is slow - we use HostUpon as recommended here - any ideas why it is so slow?

Thanks again!

Hey all,

Site has been updated a lot since first post - new images, new navigation etc.

however, we are struggling to get new members and videos viewed -- any tips?

Also - as before - any tips for the website?

Thanks

Sam

It seems intuitive that users would want to click videos/music/etc, as that is a hotspot where eyes are drawn too. I only barely saw the menu at the very top as it doesn't stand out nearly as much. I can't be your only visitor that clicks like a madman. Have you tried implementing an image map to see how effective it is?

Mikey - thanks for your input - I guess I agree - although I am not too sure how we can fix this issue.

Perhaps altering that image - as the menu bar at the top is of a fixed size I believe.

Any other comments?  - ALL feedback (good/bad) welcome - we are trying to grow but seem to be doing so quite slowly :(

What is a good way to gather momentum for our site?

Thanks guys

Sam

Thanks for the positive feedback guys -

we are going to updating the website significantly soon - so keep tuned!

2 questions though - for experienced members perhaps - any help much appreciated.

1) Our google adsense adverts show intermittently, more often than not, they are blank... Any ideas why?
2) How can we host adsense adverts through our videos like some other phpmotion sites?

Thanks again
