Nginx and phpmotion

Can any say if phpmotion works with Nginx, I have everything up and running except the menu buttons are not working
after a day of banging my head on the desk I realised I was running Nginx and doing searches on this I find Nginx dose not support .htaccess files

Is there a way to get this working
